Responsibilities

The Training Coordinator is responsible for (1) providing first-line support to users/participants/partners or Johnstone University for both online and in-person training venues, (2) providing Johnstone Distributors with guidance and support for training programs and assisting them in leveraging the training tools and resources available, and (3) ensuring learning data and content is accurate and up to date on Johnstone University.

 

Johnstone University (JU) Support:

  • Acts as first-line technical support for Johnstone University for Johnstone Supply employees and customers
    • Includes troubleshooting technical issues, supporting university navigation, triaging content requests, completing manual passes, changing groups, adding stores, updating existing course info, sharing courses for customers
    • Escalate complex or difficult support requests as needed
  • Performs ongoing maintenance and clean-up of user and course data
  • Generates summary reports and dashboards as needed
  • Maintain incentives and badges on JU
  • Reviews, loads, and tests content for Johnstone University – includes sourcing graphics, writing descriptions and outlines, and populating all required course meta-data
  • Tests and validates university functionality as needed

 

JU Workshop, Virtual Classroom & Webinar Support:

  • Handles execution of workshop logistics                                                                                                           
    • Includes printing and shipping of workshop materials (binders, copies, nametags, tent cards and other training aids), coordinating with local contact regarding the meeting room availability and set up, and confirmation and/or planning of lodging, catering, and ground transportation for workshop attendees
  • Responds to support requests regarding registration issues and travel-related issues for workshops
  • Registers attendees in workshop pre-work and follow-up on progress toward completion
    • Sends out final confirmations in advance of each workshop
  • Creates and maintains JU Workshop and Webinar course records on JUO
  • Works with Content Developer to load and test new Content

 

Supplier Training & Marketing Support:

  • Updates and maintains Training Contacts in the database (PIM) using DW report
  • Assists with social media content loading and tracking
  • Loads JUOC Marketing content to JU and other marketing platforms
  • Verify accuracy of monthly ads, featured courses and related messaging
  • Loads supplier course content to JU and JUOC, documents when complete
  • Assists with contests, promotions, and giveaways
  • Be aware of and uphold the standards of the JU Brand Guidelines
  • Provides support for marketing promotions

Contractor Training Program Support:

  • Maintains NATE custom completion certificates for online courses
  • Assists learners with documentation needed for their state certifications as needed
  • Supports Contractor Training Program manager as needed

 

General Duties:

  • Assists with department participation in Annual meetings and Trade Shows as needed
  • Assists with creation, maintenance and shipping of business planning kits, communication, survey maintenance, and materials
  • Assists with monthly accounting and other data audit process as needed
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Education and/or Experience: Associate degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or technical school; at least two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

 

Certificates, licenses, and Registrations: There are no certificates, licenses, or registrations required for this role.

 

Technical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to use current email, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation programs (Office 365)
  • Ability to use graphic clipping or creation software programs for creating documents and collateral (Adobe, SnagIt)
  • Ability to quickly learn and use new software programs as needed
  • Experience with database software or Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferred

Physical Demand

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk. Specific vision requirements are close and peripheral vision.
