Responsibilities

  • Supports the department in shaping employee training and development by serving as a resource in assessing needs, identifying resources, supporting program development, and creating and presenting professional training materials in a variety of formats.
  • Serves as a power user for Johnstone University LMS and works closely with that team to provide employees, managers and HR partners with training content, creating training tracks, assigning training, monitoring completion, reporting, and maintaining related records.
  • Supports all department sponsored development programs, including programs for new, existing and high-potential leaders, vendor support, coordinating assessment processes, drafting and maintaining program materials, coordinating training activities/logistics, engagement survey, custom course content, recognition programs, and supporting evaluation processes.
  • Proactively own the tracking and reporting of required training and certifications to ensure organizational readiness. Drives integration and visualization of metrics around systems like LMS, Assessments, Surveys, HRIS etc. Load non-standard content from sources such as IT vendors or outside training providers. Works in close partnership with LMS Team to launch, track and report on employee-based learning content/programs in Excel or VBA.
  • Deliver training as a core component of the role (up to 35 % of time); may travel to onsite training, events or host live trainings virtually as a primary trainer or producer for other team members.
  • Administer and maintain courses in LMS by monitoring enrollments, user groups and learning plans.
  • Assist team on creating training content, tutorials, guides and rapid e-learning modules using Articulate, Camtasia, Snagit and other design tools. Audit and update existing training materials to ensure content, screenshots and information are current.
  • Supports a variety of performance management processes within the HRIS, communicating with employees, HR and managers to ensure goals are entered and managed mid-year and calibrate competencies and related scoring company wide.
  • Ensures employees and managers have the knowledge and skills needed to use and take advantage of the performance management system by documenting processes and creating and delivering training materials. Provides a variety of user support.
  • Co- manages calendars, program logistics, communications and scheduling for a variety of LE programs.
  • Works collaboratively with LE team to craft compelling, error free, communications and drive engagement.
  • Applies and develops a variety of models and systems to analyze Learning & Engagement metrics (training completion, promotions, goal alignment, performance ratings, high-potential retention, exit data, surveys, feedback, training effectiveness and turnover) and translates findings into business insights that inform leadership decisions, identify workforce trends, and guide targeted engagement and talent retention strategies.
  • Hands on program support for all LE programs, using a systems mindset to drive execution and challenge outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Training and Development, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Instructional Design and/or related field; 3+ years of progressive experience in LD, Operational HR or related discipline
  • Deep understanding of systems thinking includes building, mapping and analyzing capability. Comfort with data, and spreadsheets to track progress.
  • Develops high-quality training documentation, SOPs, and scalable knowledge assets to support consistent learning delivery.
  • Intermediate proficiency in learning and content development tools such as Camtasia, Articulate Storyline, Snagit etc.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel (advanced functions/VBA/ Power BI etc.); Intermediate proficiency in PowerPoint and Teams.
  • Designs, builds, and optimizes learning data systems and frameworks to enable visibility into engagement, effectiveness, gap analysis and workforce capability trends.
  • Applies advanced problem-solving and systems thinking to diagnose learning and performance gaps, identify root causes, and suggest scalable solutions.
  • Leads data collection, transformation, and analysis of learning and workforce metrics to generate actionable insights for HR and business leaders.
  • Ability to translate complex datasets into manager-level insights, dashboards, and recommendations that drive talent development and organizational performance.
  • Identifies and implements continuous improvement opportunities in learning processes, systems integration, and reporting automation. Apply adult learning principles and how they impact completion.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, projects and stakeholders.
  • Public speaking and strong presentation skills; leading virtually lead learning; curating external learning content, delivering engaging sessions for internal staff.
  • Knowledge of LMS administration, common configurations, learning paths, enrollment rules, and learner reporting.
  • Ability to maintain high level of accuracy and attention to detail in system reporting. Ability to maintain confidentiality in coaching and with sensitive employee information.
  • Partners with LE Team and cross-functional stakeholders to identify capability needs and translate them into measurable learning strategies.
  • Communicates complex data insights in a clear, concise, and business-relevant manner to influence decision-making and workforce strategy.
  • Develops manager-ready reports, dashboards, and presentations that connect learning outcomes to business performance indicators.
  • Builds strong cross-functional relationships across HR, business units, and IT to drive alignment, adoption, and execution of learning initiatives.

The employee is occasionally required to walk. Specific vision requirements are close and peripheral vision.
